Merdeka: The Spirit Of Malaysia

The streets alive, the voices cheer,
'Merdeka!' rings so loud and clear.
A nation free, a people strong,

United in heart, where we belong.

The Jalur Gemilang proudly sways,

As hearts rejoice on this great day.

From north to south, from sea to land,
Malaysia shines, hand in hand.

Through battles fought and voices strong,
They gave us freedom, right from wrong.

Their sacrifice, their noble fight,
Gave us peace and gave us light.

Now hand in hand, we walk as one,

Under the same warm rising sun.

Malay, Chinese, Indian too,

Together we stand, forever true.

From mountains high to oceans wide,

Malaysia shines with love and pride.

Voices rise on Merdeka Day,

Shouting freedom the Malaysian way!

Freedom's gift, a precious light,

Guiding us through day and night.

Children laughing, spirits strong,

To Malaysia, we belong.

Now parades and fireworks glow,

Songs of Negaraku we proudly show.

But beyond the cheers, we understand,

The future is safe if we hold each hand.

So let us cheer, let voices say,

With pride we mark this special day.

Merdeka's flame will never fade,

For in our hearts, its light is made.
